George loves challenges, the more impossible, the better. When he was in school, it was all about learning, but even as a child, he realized that he saw the world much differently than everyone else. It made for some lonely times. Then he encountered music, and strove for excellence, not only in performance, but connecting emotionally with audiences.
But the life of a soldier provided unique challenges, especially when deployed in far-flung locations. However, it provides perspective that cannot be gained otherwise. And lastly, George was (and sometimes still is) a voracious reader that ran head-on into a memoir that changed the direction of his life forever.
